New Tarlette 2 Palette Swatches On Deep SKin

Inside Packaging and Colors
I ordered this palette from Ulta last Sunday and just received it in the mail this past Thursday, so I've had some time to use it and get a feeling about it.

For starters, I really didn't like the original Tartelette palette. I thought the shades were way to light and I was only able to wear the 3 deepest shades. This palette has much more of a variety of shade ranges in my opinion.

What I did notice is that I felt like these shades are a little more harder then the original Tartlette. It could be that I had just washed my brushes so they were really fluffy, but I had a hard time blending at first! After I worked the shadows in a little bit blending was a lot easier

I do love the shades in this palette! I feel that the shade range is phenomenal. The dark colors are super rich in color and the metallics are super metallic. I think this palatte is a definitely winner over the Tarte holiday palettes they just came up with this year. I also found that this palette is definitely more WOC friendly.

Should you buy it?

I don't know. To me, even though I didn't love the original Tartelette palette I did think it was unique. This one is nice, but I don't think it's that different. I feel that if you already own a Naked Palette, or Chocolate Bar Palette, or Stila Nudes palette then you already own a lot of these similar shades. I'm glad I have it, but I'm also a makeup hoarder. So if you're like me and love natural palettes then go for it, if you have a problem with owning multiple palettes that can give you very similar looks you might want to go with the first Tartelette palette.

  1. Great post. Thanks for the beautiful swatches. I plan to pick this up. Eyeshadow palettes are my weakness. And I've grown fond of Tarte palettes
